Montana Beef Council
Chaley Harney is a native of Montana but spent the last decade working, studying and traveling across the country from Massachusetts to Oklahoma to California before returning to serve as the Executive Director for the Montana Beef Council. Chaley grew up in ranching and agriculture and it has continued to be part of her everyday life both in work and at home. Chaley and her husband, Deeth, live near Hardin, where he manages cattle and trains horses and dogs. The Montana Beef Council is a marketing organization created by ranchers to promote beef. The Montana Beef Council is funded through the one dollar per head checkoff and the funds are used for beef promotion, research and education.
